Indy Home, a curated beach living design collection, features relaxed and contemporary furniture and décor reflecting a fun, comfortable, chic, and affordable style. We are locally run and operated in Montauk and Sag Harbor of New York. We source many of our products locally and empower our customers to create beautiful spaces without spending a fortune.
From the beginning, we have been a family-and-friend run local operation. In June 2019, we opened our doors in Montauk because we felt that the area lacked quality yet affordable home stores. After opening Indy Home, our friends from Montauk all chipped in to help spread the word to local hotels, stores, etc.! In April 2022, we opened a new location in Sag Harbor. Currently, the entire Bartfeld family works in the store during the summer -- my son making deliveries, my husband helping with the heavy lifting and finances and my daughter working in the store by my side. We source and create the majority of our products locally and continue to hire locally as well. We chose the name Indy Home after our golden doodle Indy, who has become our store’s mascot and a beloved member of the Montauk community. Indy also signifies independence and a daringness to be different, which is how we operate.
Beverly Bartfeld is passionate about all things design. She’s spent the majority of her life learning it, loving it, creating it and sharing it with the world. Indy Home Design is the product of Beverly’s years of hard work and dreams coming true, nestled in the place that means the world to her, Montauk, New York.
In her early years, Beverly received a BFA in graphic design and art history from the University of Michigan as well as an interior design degree from the Parsons School of Design. Beverly worked for three different interior designers over the course of ten years before opening her own interior design business, Beverly Bartfeld Interior Design, LLC. Beverly has spent her career attending furniture and design shows, shopping for unique and interesting items for her clients, creating her own original products in house, and dreaming of opening her own store.
Welcome to Indy Home.
